Members recognized for outstanding commitments to advancing technology industry
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. – Five technology professionals who have demonstrated leadership in the industry and a strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion have been selected as the winners of the 2022 North America Spotlight Awards by CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the industry and its workforce.
The award winners were honored today at the North America Spotlight Awards Recognition Luncheon, which took place at CompTIA’s annual Communities & Councils Forum (CCF) in Chicago.
“These members have shown commendable commitment to the betterment of the entire industry,” said MJ Shoer, Chief Community Officer for CompTIA. “Our North America Spotlight Awards Winners serve as shining examples of how CompTIA’s global community of members are helping to make the world a better place.”
CompTIA’s 2022 North America Spotlight Award honorees are:
Kyle Mills, Director, Channel Marketing at ScanSource, received the Future Leader Award for his work within a CompTIA Corporate Member organization by demonstrating success and originality as an entrepreneur and industry professional.
Dr. Georgette Fraser-Moore, CEO and President of Transformation Lead, recognized with the Advancing Women in Technology Leadership Award for her advocacy to create new opportunities for women in technology, serving as a role model and making a positive impact on individuals and organizations.
Kris Blackmon, Chief Channel Officer at JS Group, recipient of the Advancing Diversity in Technology Leadership Award for her advocacy and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the technology industry; serving as a role model; and having a positive impact on the lives and careers of others.
Corey Kirkendoll, CEO of 5K Technical Services, honored with the CompTIA Community Leadership Award for demonstrating outstanding commitment, leadership, passion, and professionalism in support of the objectives and initiatives of CompTIA Communities including the Managed Services Community, Cybersecurity Community, the Advancing Tech Talent and Diversity Community, and the CompTIA ISAO.
Juan Fernandez, Co-Founder and CEO at MSP Growth Coalition, recipient of the CompTIA Industry Advisory Council Leadership Award for his outstanding service and commitment in support of the Channel Development Advisory Council’s mission and objectives.
CompTIA’s annual CCF brings together members representing MSPs, distributors and tech vendors to discuss the latest developments in managed services, cybersecurity, tech talent and diversity, emerging technologies and more.
