Members recognized for outstanding commitments to advancing technology industry
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. – Six technology professionals who have demonstrated leadership in the industry as well as a strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion are the winners of the 2023 North America Spotlight Awards presented by CompTIA, the nonprofit trade association and leading IT certification provider for the industry and its workforce.
The award winners were honored last night at the North America Spotlight Awards Recognition Dinner, which took place at CompTIA’s annual Communities & Councils Forum in Chicago.
“The North America Spotlight Award winners have shown outstanding commitment to the growth and betterment of the entire technology industry,” said MJ Shoer, CompTIA’s chief community officer. “These members help shape CompTIA’s global community through their continued commitments to thought leadership, engagement and innovation, and are helping to make the world a better place.”
Andrea Ayala, director, technology alliances at Gradient MSP, received the Future Leader Award for her initiative and innovation to advance the technology industry.
Rebecca Woods, founder of Bluebird Leaders, received the Advancing Women in Technology Leadership Award for her significant contributions as an advocate and role model for women in technology.
Dominique Andrews, chief people officer for Logically, received the Advancing Diversity in Leadership Award for her impacts as an advocate and role model in leading others with diversity, equity and inclusion.
Alex Spigel, co-founder and COO of Choice Cyber Solutions, received the Community Leadership Award for her outstanding engagement, professionalism and passion to advance the technology industry.
Bill Campbell, CEO of Balancelogic, received the Cybersecurity Leadership Award for his positive impact on the cybersecurity space as demonstrated by his initiative and innovation in current and past cybersecurity roles.
Jill Klein, head of emerging tech and IoT for CDW, earned the Industry Advisory Councils Leadership Award for her engagement, outstanding impact, leadership and passion to advance the technology industry.
Award winners were selected by a panel of judges who evaluated nominees for their positive impact on the tech industry; contributions that support CompTIA’s mission to advance the tech industry; and actions and initiatives that demonstrated leadership in their respective award category. Members of CompTIA's North America and United Kingdom and Ireland executive councils served as judges.
