CompTIA Opens Nominations for 2020 US Spotlight Awards

Jun 8, 2020

Industry leaders, pacesetters and role models will be recognized at ChannelCon Online 2020

Downers Grove, Ill. – CompTIA, the leading nonprofit association for the global technology industry, announced today that it is accepting nominations for its 2020 Spotlight Awards, recognizing excellence and leadership in the U.S. technology sector.

Nominations may be submitted through June 30, 2020. Award winners will be announced in late July and recognized during ChannelCon Online 2020 in early August.

“Our Spotlight Awards recognize individuals from CompTIA Corporate Member companies whose commitments to diversity, leadership, mentoring and service stand out from the crowd,” said Nancy Hammervik, executive vice president for industry relations at CompTIA.

“Some of these role models have decades of experience in the business of technology, while others are in the early days of their careers,” Hammervik continued. “But they all have earned the respect and gratitude of their peers for their efforts to make a great industry even greater.”

CompTIA Spotlight Awards will be presented in four categories.

The Future Leader Award recognizes an individual who has shown success or originality as an entrepreneur or industry professional in a start-up, emerging technology or technology solution focused organization and has made an impact in the business of technology solutions in a demonstrable way.

The ChannelChanger Award is earned by an individual who has shown success or originality as an entrepreneur or industry professional, is channel focused and has made an impact on channel strategy for their company in a demonstrable way.

The Woman in Technology Leadership Award will honor a technology professional who is an active leader in the industry, their personal network and their community by advocating  for women in technology, acting as a role model, and making a positive impact on individuals and organizations. Special consideration will be given to candidates in 2020 who have demonstrated leadership in their community or organization during the COVID-19 crisis or are impacting social change.

The Diversity in Technology Leadership Award is presented to someone who is an active leader in the technology industry, their personal network and their community.
