Annual awards recognise excellence and leadership in technology industry
SYDNEY, 23 August 2024 – Finalists for the 2024 CompTIA Community ANZ Spotlight Awards, which honor individuals and organisations for their commitment, dedication, and leadership in advancing the technology industry, were revealed today by the nonprofit association for the technology industry and its workforce.
Winners in eight categories will be recognised at an awards dinner following the CompTIA Community ANZ Regional Meeting on 18 September in Sydney. CompTIA will also host meetings for its community members in Auckland (16 September) and Adelaide (20 September). The Future Leader Award is presented to an individual from a CompTIA Community member company who demonstrates success or originality as an entrepreneur or industry professional in a start-up, emerging tech, or tech solution-focused organization. Finalists are Diana Drury, Pax8; Raymond McCullagh, Avocado Consulting; and Calum Simpson, SSW.
The Advancing Women in Technology Leadership award honours an active leader in the industry, as well as in their personal network and community, who advocates for women in technology and is a role model for others. Finalists are Amy Kitson, Avocado Consulting; Hope McGarry, Ingram Micro; and Vanessa Sunassee, MyCISO.
The Community Leadership Award recognises outstanding commitment, leadership, passion, and professionalism in support of CompTIA Community objectives and initiatives. Nominees embody the spirit and dedication required for CompTIA to successfully advance the IT industry as a member-led association. Finalists are Maria Armstrong, Pax8; Yvette McEnearney, GoTo; and David Norris, Nortec IT.
The Cybersecurity Leadership Award honours a member who demonstrates outstanding commitment, leadership, passion, and professionalism in support of CompTIA cybersecurity programs, engages with other members and provides thought leadership around cybersecurity. Finalists are Aaron Jacobs, Sophos; Nick Moran, ConnectWise; and Elliot Seeto, Pax8.
The Advancing Diversity in Technology Leadership Award is presented to a member company that advocates for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the industry and has a positive impact on the lives and careers of others. The company is a changemaker, transforming lives and organizations through a sustained commitment to DEI values. Finalists are CyberCX, Microsoft and Pax8.
The Solution Provider Award recognises a member company that demonstrates outstanding leadership and excellence in innovation as a solution provider. Finalists are Avocado Consulting, Phriendly Phishing and SSW.
The Innovative Vendor Award is presented to a member company that has introduced an innovation or innovative approach to transformation in its business or the industry and has made a significant impact in improving their clients’ experience. Finalists are Huntress, iasset.com and MyCISO.
The Innovative Distributor Award honours a member company that has introduced an innovation or innovative approach to help transform their business or improve their clients’ experience. Finalists are Ingram Micro, NEXTGEN Group and Pax8.
Members of the CompTIA Community’s ASEAN, Benelux, DACH, North America and UK and Ireland regional groups served as judges for the 2024 ANZ Spotlight Awards.
