London – Leading IT trade association, CompTIA, will bring tech leaders together in Manchester this month at its UK Channel Community (UKCC) Meeting.
The meeting will take place on 6th March at The Midland and will see leaders in the IT space discuss the current state of the industry and what we can expect to see evolve over the coming 12 months. The event will also provide a space for the UK channel to gain insights into new methods of conducting business to ensure the technology sector is maximising its potential as a leading contributor to the economy.
Alongside breakout sessions that delve into the importance of business strategy for IT companies, the event will have keynote speakers sharing their knowledge. Jonathan Bowers, Managing Director at Manchester’s largest tech job provider, UKFast, and Sue Gilkes, founder and CEO at Your Impact Ltd., the IT training and consultancy specialist, will give attendees a unique insight into today’s successful business strategies.
Jonathan’s keynote focuses on what it takes to be an inspirational leader, how continuous professional development and staff training are critical to creating a world-class culture, and why tackling the skills gap is business’ responsibility.
Jonathan said: “Leadership is about equipping your team with the tools they need to succeed. For UKFast that means ensuring our people have the right skills and the right inspiration. We’ve invested heavily in our training and education team to ensure that people are inspired to learn and grow as our business grows. True inspiration comes when people are given the opportunity to develop and learn new things. I’m incredibly excited to share UKFast’s learnings from 20 years at the cutting edge of the technology industry.”
Sue will talk through the 2019 IT Industry Outlook, providing an overview on the state of play for the industry, how things are evolving in the wake of a rise in emerging technologies and how businesses can plan for the year ahead.
Sue comments: “Having a clear view of what’s on the horizon for the industry is an essential part of planning and preparation for the year ahead.
“Whether it is identifying IT staffing needs or training the workforce to take advantage of emerging technologies, having an informed opinion of how the industry is shifting can give you the clarity you need to make correct decisions for the business.”
Estelle Johannes, Director, Member Communities UK at CompTIA, comments: “CompTIA’s community meetings bring the UK channel together to discuss common issues and look for joint solutions to strengthen our industry.
“We’re excited to have Jonathan and Sue join us as keynote speakers at our Manchester event to discuss the importance of business development within the tech industry. As leaders of successful tech companies, they each bring a fresh perspective on tackling the sector’s biggest challenges from inside the organisation.”
