Free publications target channel programs and process efficiencies
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. – CompTIA, the world’s leading information technology (IT) certification and training body, today announced the publication of two new technology business guides from the CompTIA Community: “Tech Vendor Guidebook: Best Practices for Successful Channel Programs” and “The CompTIA Community MSP Guidebook: Cultivating a Culture of Process Efficiency.”
“Connecting technology channel businesses with valuable expertise and guidance is what we do,” said MJ Shoer, chief community officer at CompTIA. “These guidebooks, along with our other events and initiatives, provide exclusive tools and resources so you can build a thriving business and contribute to the growth of the channel.”
The Tech Vendor Guidebook explores critical questions and insights organizations need to consider when thinking about the IT channel to ensure operational efficiencies. The guidebook focuses on two specific subjects:
* Considerations and questions to address before deciding to enter the IT channel or revisit an existing channel strategy.
* How to put the channel in motion after considering the different channel models and the potential upsides for these programs.
The Tech Vendor Guidebook was created by members of the CompTIA Community Channel Development Advisory Council, which includes professionals from hardware manufacturers, software publishers, services organizations, distributors, telecommunications companies, and technology solution providers.
The CompTIA Community MSP Guidebook was developed as a framework for managed service providers (MSPs) to create a culture of process efficiency by identifying areas for improvement before implementing best practices.
The CompTIA Community MSP Guidebook, which was created by technology professionals serving on the CompTIA Community North America Managed Services Interest Group, covers service portfolio assessment, effective business processes, investing in human resources, vendor partner management, and details on additional resources.
“This guidebook has the potential to serve as a catalyst for organizational transformation,” said Shoer. “The guidebook provides tools to examine vital aspects of your organization’s operations, revealing opportunities for improvement that may have been overlooked. The guidebook also offers a wealth of best practices to implement in your quest for efficiency.”
Both guidebooks will be featured in sessions at CompTIA ChannelCon, held July 30-Aug. 1 in Atlanta. To download a copy of either guidebook, visit: connect.comptia.org/msp-guidebook or connect.comptia.org/tech-vendor-guidebook .
