Downers Grove, Ill. – Executives representing companies and organizations on the leading edge of technology innovation have been appointed to the CompTIA Advisory Councils Joint Leadership Executive Board for 2018, the leading technology industry association, announced today.
The appointees include the co-chairs and vice chairs of CompTIA’s four advisory councils, representing companies engaged in the business of technology, the software-as-a-service and cloud markets, the drone industry, and the smart cities and Internet of Things movements.
“CompTIA’s industry advisory councils are tasked with helping the association stay apace with new and emerging technology ecosystems, identifying and developing industry best practice standards, driving the adoption of emerging technologies into mainstream business, and staying closely informed on CompTIA’s policy and advocacy positions,” said Annette Taber, vice president, industry outreach, CompTIA.
Representing the Business Applications Advisory Council on the executive board are Marc Haskelson, president and CEO, Compliancy Group LLC; Taylor Macdonald, senior vice president, The Sage Group plc / Intacct Corporation; and Rakesh Mahajan, senior director of partner sales, Smartsheet.
Representing the Channel Advisory Board, which includes executives from technology vendor, distributor and solution provider companies, are Steve Mungall, vice president of global partner strategy and program, Red Hat; Chad Paalman, co-founder and managing partner, NuWave Technology Partners; and Ryan Walsh, chief channel officer, Pax8.
The Drone Advisory Council is represented by Enrico Schaefer, UAV and IP attorney, Drone Law Pro; Frank Segarra, CEO, ConnexiCore; and Jon Tull, CEO, Dronifi.
Finally, Damian McCabe, general manager and senior vice president of Americas, Eseye; Robert Senatore, president and chief operating officer, Data2Go Wireless; and Tricia Shevlin, vice president of sales and marketing, THINaër, come to the executive board from the Smart Cities Advisory Council.
“At capacity, CompTIA’s industry advisory councils will include 90 executives from across four technology sectors,” Taber said. “The Advisory Council Executive Board will work with the individual councils to expand CompTIA’s footprint and engagement with a broader ecosystem of business technology players.”
